Waning Crescent

The waning crescent is the final sliver of light before the new moon — a thin curve on the left side, growing smaller each morning. It rises in the pre-dawn hours and is visible low in the eastern sky just before sunrise. In many cultures this phase is associated with rest, completion, and the quiet turn before a new cycle begins.
