A powerful and elusive centre, Herbert brings a potent mix of size and skill to the Wests Tigers backline, capable of breaking games open.
Patrick Herbert's path to the NRL was forged in the rugby-rich region of Rotorua, New Zealand. A standout junior, he initially signed with the New Zealand Warriors, making his first-grade debut in 2019. His raw talent was immediately apparent—a big, fast centre with soft hands and a knack for finding the try line. Seeking more consistent opportunity, he moved to the Gold Coast Titans in 2020, where he began to deliver on his potential with a string of robust performances. In 2023, Herbert returned to a New Zealand-based club, signing with the Warriors once more, before joining the Wests Tigers for the 2024 season. His journey reflects the transient nature of professional rugby league, but his physical attributes and offensive threat have made him a valued contributor at every stop.

Patrick was born in 1997, placing them squarely in the Generation Z. The events that shaped this generation — social media, climate anxiety, and a pandemic — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
