A powerful, grinding winger who carved out an NHL stint before returning to become a key physical presence in Russia's KHL.
Maxim Mamin's hockey path is one of persistence and adaptation. Drafted in the late rounds by the Florida Panthers, the Moscow-born forward spent years developing his heavy, north-south game in the KHL before getting his NHL shot. His time in North America was brief but memorable; during the 2021-22 season, he brought a needed element of sandpaper to the Panthers' high-flying lineup, using his 6'2" frame to forecheck relentlessly and chip in occasional offense. Ultimately, the pull of home and a larger role brought him back to HC Dynamo Moscow, where he has settled in as a veteran leader. Mamin's career embodies the modern transatlantic athlete—skilled enough to play in the best league, but finding his most impactful and comfortable niche in his home country's premier circuit.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Maxim was born in 1995, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
