A Spanish driver who became the youngest ever Formula One starter, then reinvented himself as an electronic music DJ and broadcaster.
Jaime Alguersuari's life has been lived at high speed, in two different arenas. In 2009, at just 19 years and 125 days old, he was thrust into a Toro Rosso Formula One seat, becoming the youngest driver to start a Grand Prix in history. For three seasons, the Barcelona native grappled with the immense pressure of the pinnacle of motorsport, showing flashes of speed but struggling with consistency in an uncompetitive car. His F1 career ended abruptly after 2011, a conclusion that left him disillusioned with the sport's politics. Rather than chasing lesser racing series, Alguersuari executed a remarkable pivot. He channeled a lifelong passion for music into a second act as a professional DJ and producer, performing under the name 'Squire' at major festivals like Tomorrowland. He also returned to the F1 world as a sharp, insightful commentator for Spanish radio, offering a perspective only a former driver could. His journey reflects a restless intellect, refusing to be defined solely by his record-breaking, if unfulfilled, racing chapter.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Jaime was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
