A tenacious Formula 1 driver who fought his way back to the grid, becoming the consistent point-scoring heart of the Williams team.
Alexander Albon's racing journey is a story of resilience. Born in London to a British father and Thai mother, he rose through the European karting and junior formula ranks, often competing against and beating future champions. His big break came in 2019 with the Toro Rosso team, and his impressive performances mid-season earned a promotion to the senior Red Bull Racing squad. While showing flashes of speed, the pressure was immense, and he was relegated to a reserve role for 2021. Instead of fading away, Albon used the year as a test and simulator driver to refine his craft. The gamble paid off when Williams offered him a race seat for 2022. There, he found his footing, consistently extracting performance from a less competitive car and becoming the team's undisputed leader. His calm demeanor under pressure and shrewd racecraft have made him one of the most respected midfield drivers on the grid.
