The steady, melodic bassist whose voice and songwriting helped anchor the multi-platinum band Lifehouse for two decades.
Bryce Soderberg didn't just join Lifehouse; he became part of its foundational sound. The Canadian musician stepped into the bassist role in 2004, a period when the band was navigating its identity beyond the massive success of 'Hanging by a Moment'. With his rich backing vocals and collaborative songwriting, Soderberg provided a crucial layer of harmonic depth and stability. He contributed to a string of albums that sustained the band's presence on radio and charts, from the self-titled 'Lifehouse' to 'Who We Are' and 'Smoke & Mirrors'. His musicianship helped translate their introspective, guitar-driven rock into consistent arena-ready performances. For over 15 years, Soderberg was the consistent low-end and a key vocal foil to frontman Jason Wade, playing an integral but often understated role in maintaining the band's connection with a dedicated global audience.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Bryce was born in 1980, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
