A violin virtuoso who, as a child prodigy, conquered Moscow's stages and grew into a musician of profound intensity and global stature.
Vadim Repin's relationship with the violin began as a childhood marvel in Soviet Siberia and matured into one of the most respected partnerships in classical music. A prodigy who gave his first recital at six and won the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition at seventeen, Repin was never just a technical phenomenon. His playing combines fiery Slavic passion with a refined, singing tone, making him a compelling interpreter of the great Russian concertos as well as the core Germanic repertoire. Based in Vienna, he has collaborated with the world's top conductors and orchestras, and his chamber music partnerships, particularly with pianist Nikolai Lugansky, are celebrated for their depth and synergy. Repin represents a bridge between the formidable Russian school and the wider musical world, an artist who treats his instrument as a voice for raw, communicated emotion.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Vadim was born in 1971, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
