A grime pioneer from Bow who broke into the UK pop mainstream, proving the genre's commercial power with chart-topping collaborations.
Born Kwasi Danquah in Accra, Ghana, Tinchy Stryder moved to London's Bow estate as a child, where the burgeoning grime scene became his playground. As a teenager, he co-founded the crew Ruff Sqwad, his productions and rapid-fire verses becoming staples on pirate radio. His independent hustle led to a surprise breakthrough: 2009's 'Number 1', a sunny, synth-driven collaboration with N-Dubz, catapulted him to the top of the UK Singles Chart. This moment was a cultural landmark, a grime artist commandeering the pop summit. Stryder didn't rest there, building a parallel career as a shrewd tech investor and entrepreneur, backing startups and focusing on financial literacy, demonstrating a sharp business mind that operated far beyond the recording booth.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Tinchy was born in 1987, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
