A uniquely tall and skillful NRL forward whose journeyman career culminated in a grand final appearance with the Parramatta Eels.
Standing at 200cm tall, Shaun Lane was an unmistakable figure on the rugby league field, a second-rower whose height gave him an unusual advantage in offloads and line-breaking. His career was one of steady growth and valuable contributions across multiple clubs. After debuting with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Lane found his footing during a stint with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, where his athleticism and work rate became more pronounced. His move to the Parramatta Eels in 2019, however, is where he truly flourished. Under coach Brad Arthur, Lane developed into a consistent and impactful starter, using his long strides and soft hands to become a potent attacking weapon on the edge. The peak of his time at Parramatta was the 2022 NRL Grand Final, where he started in the Eels' narrow loss to the Penrith Panthers. While injuries eventually led to his retirement, Lane's path from a promising but raw talent to a key figure in a top-tier NRL side is a testament to his persistence and adaptability.

Shaun was born in 1994, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
