A versatile back who transformed from a rookie winger into a reliable try-scoring centre and goalkicker for the Manly Sea Eagles.
Reuben Garrick's path to the NRL was not a straight shot from a junior prodigy. Hailing from Gerringong on the New South Wales south coast, he initially balanced rugby league with a trade as an electrician. His professional break came in 2019 with the St George Illawarra Dragons, but it was his move to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles that unlocked his potential. Under coach Des Hasler, Garrick evolved from a winger into a multifaceted weapon in the backline, known for his sharp finishing, dependable goal-kicking, and ability to slot into the centres. His 2021 season was a personal landmark, where he led the NRL in points scored, showcasing a clutch performance ability that made him a fan favorite and a consistent pillar for the Sea Eagles during a period of transition.
