A Malayalam cinema powerhouse who evolved from teen heartthrob into a daring producer and director, reshaping the industry's commercial and artistic landscape.
Prithviraj Sukumaran entered films as a young man bearing the weight of a famous surname, but he swiftly carved a path entirely his own. After early roles traded on his striking looks, he deliberately sought complex, often dark characters, proving his mettle in films like 'Indian Rupee' and the gritty 'Celluloid'. His ambition, however, stretched far beyond acting. He co-founded the production company Prithviraj Productions, backing ambitious, high-concept projects that mainstream studios shied from, most notably the epic two-part fantasy 'Lucifer' and its cinematic universe. Taking the director's chair for 'Lucifer' and the period drama 'Bro Daddy', he displayed a sharp commercial instinct and visual flair. Prithviraj represents a new breed of Indian film star: a multilingual, business-savvy auteur who commands the screen while also building the worlds behind it, pushing Malayalam cinema onto a bigger, bolder stage.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Prithviraj was born in 1982, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
