Biography
Barry Corbin earned two Emmy nominations for playing the hilariously pompous ex-astronaut Maurice Minnifield on 'Northern Exposure.' A Texas native and former Marine, he did not start acting professionally until his thirties. He built a career on sheer presence, often playing sheriffs, ranchers, military officers, and grandfathers. Directors from the Coen Brothers ('No Country for Old Men') to television producers on 'One Tree Hill' trusted him to deliver a world of backstory in a single line.
