Miley Cyrus launched the 2013 album 'Bangerz' as a deliberate break from her Disney persona, using twerking, tongue-out performances and hip-hop influences to shed her 'Hannah Montana' image. The daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus had become a global teen symbol by starring in the Disney series that blurred fiction and reality.
