A Finnish ice dancer who, with partner Olesia Karmi, broke new ground for their nation on the demanding European and world stages.
Max Lindholm won two Finnish national championships in ice dancing with partner Olesia Karmi. Born in 1990, he paired with the Russian-born Karmi to elevate Finland's presence in a sport dominated by a few nations. They qualified for the free dance at multiple European Championships, achieving placements that pushed Finnish skating forward. At the 2013 World Championships in London, Ontario, they competed as Finland's top dance team. Their partnership emphasized precision and artistic growth, setting a foundation for future Finnish skaters in the discipline.

Max was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
