A Finnish ice dancer who, with partner Olesia Karmi, broke new ground for their nation on the demanding European and world stages.
Max Lindholm's career in ice dancing was a project in pioneering. Teaming up with Russian-born partner Olesia Karmi, he embarked on the challenging task of elevating Finland's presence in a discipline long dominated by a handful of countries. Theirs was a partnership built on precision and artistic growth, culminating in two Finnish national championships. They became fixtures at the European Championships, consistently qualifying for the free dance and achieving respectable placements that pushed the boundaries for Finnish skating. Competing at the World Championships in London, Ontario, in 2013, they cemented their status as their country's top dance team of their era, paving the way for future Finnish skaters in the process.

Max was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
