Maria Sergejeva carved her path on the ice as one of Estonia's most successful pair skaters. Partnered with Ilja Glebov, she dominated the national championships for four consecutive years, a streak that culminated in a trip to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Rather than extending her competitive career, she made a sharp turn into professional performance. Sergejeva became a sought-after artist in elaborate ice theatre productions, touring the world with Disney on Ice and European spectacles like Fantasy on Ice.
