A Portuguese pop force who carried her nation's hopes to the Eurovision stage with a song about an ocean that divides.
Leonor Andrade won 'The Voice Portugal' in 2014. Born in 1994 in Almada, Portugal, she studied theater and music before her powerful vocals and charismatic presence secured the televised competition. The following year, she represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the ballad 'Há um mar que nos separa.' The song did not reach the final. Since then, Andrade has released pop and R&B-infused singles and albums while acting in Portuguese television series and theater. She moves between belting soulful tunes and commanding dramatic scenes, embodying a modern Portuguese entertainer whose career spans both music and performance.

Leonor was born in 1994, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
