The foundational guitarist whose riffs and songwriting helped launch the explosive pop-punk phenomenon Paramore.
Josh Farro's story is etched into the early DNA of Paramore. As a teenager in Franklin, Tennessee, he and his brother Zac formed the band's original instrumental backbone, with Josh's driving guitar work providing the texture and urgency behind Hayley Williams's commanding voice. His contributions on Paramore's first three albums—from the raw energy of 'All We Know Is Falling' to the polished anthems of 'Brand New Eyes'—were crucial in defining their signature blend of emo angst and pop-punk catchiness. His departure from the band in 2010 was a seismic event for fans, marking the end of an era. Farro has since carved a quieter path, fronting the indie rock project Farro and exploring a more introspective, personal songwriting style, but his legacy remains tightly woven into the fabric of 2000s alternative music.

Josh was born in 1987, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
