A multifaceted Indonesian artist who evolved from teen pop idol to a serious actor captivating audiences in the blockbuster 'Dilan' film series.
Iqbaal Ramadhan first captured Indonesia's attention as a member of the wildly popular teen band Coboy Junior. His transition from the stage to the screen, however, is where he cemented his staying power. He broke from his boy-band image with a defining role as the charming, motorcycle-riding Dilan in the 2018 film adaptation of the beloved novel 'Dilan 1990.' His performance captured the poetic romance and youthful spirit of the character, making the film a cultural phenomenon and proving his depth as a performer. Ramadhan has since balanced music with a selective film career, choosing projects that challenge perceptions and showcase his generation's voice in Indonesian cinema.

Born into smartphones, social media, and school shootings. The most diverse generation in history. Pragmatic about money, fluid about identity, anxious about the climate. They do not remember a world before the internet.
Iqbaal was born in 1999, placing them squarely in the Generation Z. The events that shaped this generation — social media, climate anxiety, and a pandemic — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
