A technical wizard of Japanese wrestling whose lightning-fast style and tag-team mastery made him a cornerstone of the junior heavyweight scene.
Ikuto Hidaka may not have been the largest wrestler in the ring, but what he lacked in size he more than made up for in speed, innovation, and technical precision. Debuting in the late 1990s, he became a fixture in Japan's competitive junior heavyweight divisions, most notably in the promotion Pro Wrestling Zero1, which he helped define. His career is a tapestry of thrilling, high-speed matches and enduring partnerships. His team with Minoru Fujita, known as "The Gunslingers," became one of the most successful and decorated tag teams of its era, capturing multiple titles and holding a unique distinction in their promotion's history. Hidaka also brought his distinct style to a global audience with a stint in the original ECW during its final years, where his matches stood out for their pure athleticism. A respected veteran, he later became a key presence in Pro Wrestling Noah, mentoring younger talent while still delivering the crisp, fluid mat work that made his name.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Ikuto was born in 1972, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
