A pianist of thunderous technique and profound sensitivity, he has reshaped the classical concert experience for a new generation.
Daniil Trifonov won the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011. Since then, he has commanded the world's major stages, blending intellectual depth with visceral power. His playing of Bach or Rachmaninoff shows rare clarity and a singing tone. Trifonov also composes original works, adding his own voice to the repertoire. He moves from recording praised albums to monumental projects, such as performing all of Rachmaninoff's works for piano and orchestra, securing his place as a defining artist of his era.
