The unflappable navigator whose perfect partnership with Sébastien Loeb created the most dominant duo in World Rally Championship history.
Daniel 'Danos' Elena, born in Monaco in 1972, is the co-driver who navigated Sébastien Loeb to nine World Rally Championship titles. Their partnership, formed in the late 1990s, set the standard for co-driving through absolute trust and technical precision. While Loeb drove at extreme speed, Elena delivered pace notes with a flat, unshakable monotone even after major crashes. Their 79 WRC victories together made the Citroën cockpit a dominant force in motorsport for more than a decade.

Daniel was born in 1972, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
