A hard-hitting Australian centre who clinched an NRL premiership in the fierce Melbourne Storm system and earned State of Origin honours.
Dane Nielsen won an NRL premiership with the Melbourne Storm in 2012, playing as a reliable and robust centre. He moved through several NRL clubs before landing at Melbourne, where he became integral to the team's defensive structure and attacking shape. That form earned him selection for Queensland in State of Origin, the ultimate test in Australian rugby league. His path later took him to England's Super League before retirement. His career was defined by that premiership ring and the Maroon jersey he wore with pride.
