A versatile Kiwi back whose reliable boot and try-scoring prowess made him a dependable force for club and country across a 15-year career.
Bryson Goodwin carved out a long and respected career in the hard-nosed world of rugby league, defined by his consistency and coolness under pressure. Born in Sydney but representing New Zealand through his father, Goodwin debuted for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2007, quickly establishing himself as a sharp-shooting goal-kicker and a solid presence in the centres or on the wing. His club journey took him to South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he played in the 2013 preliminary final, and later to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, where he became a valued veteran. On the international stage, he was a trusted component of the New Zealand side, contributing to their 2014 Four Nations triumph. Goodwin’s game wasn’t about flashy headlines but about steady, professional output, a trait that kept him in top-flight competitions in both Australia and England until his retirement.

Bryson was born in 1985, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
