A visionary K-pop producer and songwriter who shaped a generation's sound before forging a defiantly personal solo path.
Kim Han-bin, known as B.I, emerged as one of K-pop's most formidable creative engines in the 2010s. As the leader, main rapper, and primary producer for iKON, he wielded an unusual level of artistic control, crafting the group's identity from the ground up. His songwriting struck a nerve far beyond the fanbase; 'Love Scenario' became a national phenomenon in South Korea, an inescapable schoolyard anthem that dominated charts for months. His departure from the group in 2019, following allegations of past drug use, seemed like a career-ending earthquake. Instead, it became a catalyst for a stark reinvention. Stripping away the major-label machinery, he launched his own independent label, 131 Label, and began releasing music that was darker, more introspective, and raw. Albums like 'Waterfall' and 'To Die For' chronicled his fall and tentative recovery, earning critical respect and proving that his artistic voice was not only intact but had deepened through adversity.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
B.I was born in 1996, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
