Her powerful voice delivered the euphoric hooks for 2 Unlimited, defining the high-energy sound of European dance music in the 1990s.
In the early 1990s, a new sound exploded from European dance floors onto global charts: a relentless, synthesized beat punctuated by a rapper's chant and, soaring above it all, the clear, potent voice of Anita Doth. As one half of the Dutch-Belgian duo 2 Unlimited, Doth was the melodic anchor to rapper Ray Slijngaard. Produced by the hitmakers Jean-Paul DeCoster and Phil Wilde, their songs like 'No Limit' and 'Get Ready for This' were less lyrical compositions than adrenaline-fueled mantras. Doth's vocals provided the human touch and memorable chorus lines that made the music accessible and irresistibly catchy. The duo became synonymous with the Eurodance movement, moving millions of records and filling arenas. After 2 Unlimited's initial split, Doth pursued a solo career and later participated in reunions, her voice forever linked to a specific, exuberant moment in pop culture where the motto, as she famously sang, truly was 'No limit!'

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Anita was born in 1971, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
