A Moldovan electronic music architect who rose from local clubs to global festivals, shaping the soaring sound of modern trance.
Andrei Rață, operating as Andrew Rayel, turned a childhood fascination with classical music and early computer software into a global electronic phenomenon. Hailing from Moldova, a country not traditionally known for dance music exports, he broke through in the early 2010s with a signature style that fused orchestral grandeur with driving trance rhythms. His anthems, characterized by melodic complexity and emotional heft, quickly found a home on Armin van Buuren's Armada Music, before Rayel launched his own imprint, inHarmony Music. More than just a DJ playing festivals from EDC to Tomorrowland, he became a curator and label chief, using his platform to spotlight fresh talent from across the world, all while carrying the flag for his home country on international stages.

Andrew was born in 1992, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
