A footballer who transitioned to coaching his hometown club, steering its fortunes from the midfield to the sidelines.
Amit Guluzade's story is one of local loyalty in the world of football. Born in 1992 in Azerbaijan, he built his playing career not as a globetrotting star, but as a dedicated midfielder for clubs within his country's domestic league. His technical skill and understanding of the game were most prominently displayed during his time with Keşla FK (formerly Inter Baku), where he became a familiar and reliable presence in the center of the park. Rather than seeking opportunities abroad as his playing days advanced, Guluzade looked to the dugout. He moved into coaching, applying the tactical knowledge honed over years as a professional. In a fitting full-circle move, he took the helm at Qaradağ Lökbatan, a club based in a suburb of Baku. His appointment as head coach signaled a new chapter, shifting his influence from executing plays on the pitch to designing them for a new generation of Azerbaijani players, aiming to build success close to home.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Amit was born in 1992, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
