A prolific junior scorer who carved out a sustained professional career across North American and European leagues.
Ty Rattie's story is that of a natural goal-scorer who found his level across the global hockey map. Drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 2011 after tearing up the WHL with the Portland Winterhawks, expectations were high. While his NHL opportunities were sporadic across stops in St. Louis, Carolina, and Edmonton, he flashed his undeniable offensive skill in memorable bursts, like a two-goal playoff game for the Oilers. Rattie ultimately found his greatest consistency and success as a top-line player in the AHL and, later, in Europe. His journey took him to the KHL in Russia and eventually to the SHL in Sweden, where he continued to be a relied-upon offensive weapon, demonstrating the adaptability and scoring touch that has defined his long professional run.

Ty was born in 1993, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
