A mobile defenseman who carved out a long professional career across continents after being a first-round NHL draft pick.
Tim Erixon's hockey life was shaped by a transatlantic legacy. Born in New York while his Swedish father, Jan, played for the Rangers, he was raised in Sweden and developed in its rigorous hockey system. A first-round pick by the Calgary Flames, his North American journey became a winding one, bouncing between several NHL organizations and their AHL affiliates. While he never solidified a permanent top-tier role in the NHL, Erixon found his greatest success and stability upon returning to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). There, with Skellefteå AIK and later Timrå IK, he matured into a dependable, puck-moving defenseman, logging major minutes and contributing to deep playoff runs. His career is a study in adaptation, leveraging high skill and hockey intelligence to build a lasting impact in the world's top leagues outside the NHL.

Tim was born in 1991, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
