A Russian super-heavyweight weightlifter whose sheer dominance in competition was matched by her record-shattering lifts in training, marking her as one of the sport's strongest ever.
Tatiana Kashirina's presence in the +75kg category was that of a force of nature. With a frame built for power, she combined technical precision with overwhelming strength to rule her division for nearly a decade. Her competitive record is a string of major titles, including multiple world and European championships, often won by staggering margins. Kashirina's legend, however, was amplified by training videos that seemed to defy physics—world record clean and jerks performed with apparent ease. This narrative of invincibility made her Olympic silver medal in 2016 a surprise, but it did little to dim her aura of supremacy. Her career, however, is inextricably linked to the doping scandals that have rocked weightlifting, with a significant portion of her results later annulled, casting a complex shadow over her formidable achievements.

Tatiana was born in 1991, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
