A shot-blocking force from Gabon who became a EuroLeague defensive king after a brief NBA stint, defining his career through relentless hustle and timing.
Stéphane Lasme led the nation in blocked shots at the University of Massachusetts, earning a second-round NBA draft selection. The Gabonese forward, born in 1982, found his true calling in European basketball. Across Greece, Russia, and Turkey, he transformed into a defensive institution, winning the EuroLeague Best Defender award in 2013. The pinnacle came in 2016 when he led Galatasaray to the EuroCup title and was named Finals MVP. His leaping ability and impeccable timing made him one of Europe's most impactful and feared defensive presences of his era.
