A sharpshooting guard from Ukraine who carved out a respected international career after a brief NBA draft selection.
Sergiy Gladyr's basketball journey began in his native Ukraine, where his smooth shooting stroke first caught the eye of scouts. His selection by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2009 NBA draft was a milestone, though his path led him to become a cornerstone of European basketball rather than an NBA regular. He found his true home in the competitive leagues of Spain and France, most notably with Monbus Obradoiro in the Spanish ACB, where his reliability from beyond the arc made him a fan favorite. Gladyr was a fixture for the Ukrainian national team, representing his country with pride in multiple EuroBasket tournaments. His career is a testament to the global pathways of modern basketball, defined by professional consistency and a lethal three-point shot that troubled defenses across the continent.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Sergiy was born in 1988, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
