A French guard whose explosive speed and scoring bursts made him a fan favorite during his time in the NBA.
Rodrigue Beaubois emerged from the basketball courts of Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, with a breathtaking blend of agility and raw talent. Discovered by the French institute INSEP, he quickly rose through the ranks in the French league before catching the eye of NBA scouts. Drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder and traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night in 2009, 'Roddy B' became an instant sensation in Dallas. His rookie season was a revelation, highlighted by a 40-point game where his blistering speed and deep shooting range seemed to promise stardom. However, a serious foot injury the following season derailed his momentum and he never fully recaptured that initial explosive form. After several seasons shuttling between the NBA and Europe, he found a lasting home and significant success with Turkish powerhouse Anadolu Efes, where he evolved into a veteran leader and key contributor, winning multiple EuroLeague titles.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Rodrigue was born in 1988, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
