A highly-touted basketball prospect whose professional journey became a globe-trotting quest for stability after NCAA eligibility issues derailed his collegiate path.
Ricky Ledo's basketball story is one of unfulfilled promise and relentless adaptation. Coming out of high school, he was a coveted five-star recruit, a scoring guard with undeniable talent that promised a bright future at Providence College. That future evaporated when the NCAA declared him academically ineligible to play his entire freshman season. Forced to train in isolation, he entered the NBA Draft based on potential alone and was selected in the second round. His NBA tenure was brief, and Ledo embarked on a nomadic career across basketball leagues in over a dozen countries, from China and Turkey to Puerto Rico and Venezuela. His narrative shifted from that of a can't-miss prospect to that of a skilled journeyman, determined to carve out a lasting professional life in the sport far from its brightest spotlight.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Ricky was born in 1992, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
