A steadfast German goalkeeper whose career was defined by resilience, bouncing between clubs to become a reliable Bundesliga presence for over a decade.
Philipp Tschauner's path in professional football was a testament to persistence rather than stardom. Born in Munich, he cut his teeth in the youth systems of local giants 1860 Munich and Bayern Munich before making his senior debut for 1. FC Nürnberg. His early years set a pattern for his career: that of a capable and dedicated goalkeeper who moved frequently to find playing time. He became a journeyman of the German leagues, with notable spells at FC St. Pauli and Hannover 96, where he often served as a dependable backup or a steadying hand for newly promoted sides. His later move to RB Leipzig in 2016 saw him contribute to the club's rapid ascent, providing experienced depth as they stormed into the Champions League. While his nine caps for Germany's youth teams were the extent of his international career, his longevity and adaptability made him a respected figure in dressing rooms across the country.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Philipp was born in 1985, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
