The frontman of Suicide Silence whose guttural vocals and intense stage presence helped define the explosive sound of modern deathcore.
Mitch Lucker fronted Suicide Silence, a deathcore band from Riverside, California. His signature guttural lows and piercing shrieks gave sonic form to pure, cathartic aggression. On stage he was a whirlwind of energy, commanding mosh pits with visceral connection. Under his leadership, the band's 2007 album 'The Cleansing' became a landmark release, pushing extreme metal into new commercial territory. He died in a motorcycle accident in 2012 at age 28. His influence far outpaced his years.
