A powerful and resilient MLB outfielder whose thunderous bat and work ethic made him a fan favorite and a cornerstone of the Seattle Mariners' lineup.
Mitch Haniger's baseball career is a testament to persistence and refined power. Drafted out of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he navigated the minors with a reputation for a potent bat, but it was a trade to the Seattle Mariners that unlocked his potential. In Seattle, he transformed into an All-Star, combining raw strength with a meticulous approach to hitting. His 2018 season was a masterpiece of production, as he smashed 26 home runs and drove in 93 runs, becoming the emotional heartbeat of the team. His journey, however, was marred by brutal injuries—a ruptured testicle from a fouled ball and a freak back issue—that required immense physical and mental strength to overcome. Each time, he fought back to reclaim his place, his swing a little more honed, his presence a little more vital, whether in Seattle or later with the San Francisco Giants.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Mitch was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
