A Japanese-born performer whose elegant, ballet-trained poise became a defining and beloved pillar of K-pop giant TWICE.
Mina Myoi debuted in 2015 as a member of TWICE after JYP Entertainment scouts spotted her pursuing classical dance in Japan. Born in Texas and raised in Japan, she traded pointe shoes for pop choreography and moved to South Korea. Her ballet background produced an ethereal, graceful stage presence and a soft, understated vocal tone. She took a hiatus in 2019 due to anxiety. Fans welcomed her return with overwhelming support. As part of TWICE's first official subunit MiSaMo, she helped launch a successful Japanese debut, bridging the group's Korean core and its massive Japanese fanbase.

Mina was born in 1997, placing them squarely in the Generation Z. The events that shaped this generation — social media, climate anxiety, and a pandemic — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
