A skilled Czech winger whose professional journey spanned the NHL, AHL, and a long-standing captaincy back in his homeland.
Michal Řepík's hockey path is a classic tale of a European talent chasing the North American dream, only to find his most significant role back where he started. Drafted in the second round by the Florida Panthers in 2007, the winger from Vlašim brought a blend of offensive instinct and grit to the ice. His NHL career, however, was a series of glimpses—29 games spread over parts of three seasons with the Panthers and a single game with the Phoenix Coyotes. The bulk of his time in North America was spent in the AHL, where he was a consistent and respected scorer for teams like the Rochester Americans and Portland Pirates. In 2014, he returned to the Czech Extraliga, joining HC Sparta Praha. It was there that Řepík truly blossomed into a leader, eventually being named team captain. He became a fixture for Sparta, known for his work ethic and clutch scoring, embodying the veteran presence that defines the heart of European club hockey.

Michal was born in 1988, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
