A Japanese voice actress who rocketed to fame as the idol singer Ranka Lee, capturing a generation's heart with her soaring, innocent vocals.
Megumi Nakajima's career was born from a pure, almost storybook audition. Discovered by the talent agency Stardust Promotion, she later won a separate, highly competitive audition held by Victor Entertainment that sought a singer who could also act. That dual victory landed her the role of a lifetime: Ranka Lee in the 2008 anime series 'Macross Frontier.' Nakajima didn't just voice Ranka; she became her, performing the character's idol songs with a bright, earnest quality that defined the show's soundtrack. Her debut single, 'Tenshi ni Naritai,' shot up the charts, cementing her as a seiyuu idol—a voice actress whose musical output is as central as her acting. While forever linked to Ranka, Nakajima has built a steady career beyond that phenomenon, voicing other anime roles and releasing solo music, maintaining a dedicated fanbase drawn to her distinctive vocal color.

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.
Megumi was born in 1989, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
