A tough, dependable Australian prop whose workmanlike career was defined by grit, grand final glory with the Rabbitohs, and over 150 NRL appearances.
Mark Nicholls came off the bench for South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 2021 NRL Grand Final. The Sydney-born forward built his career through persistence after early stints with Canberra Raiders and Brisbane Broncos yielded little playing time. He learned the disciplined structure of the Melbourne Storm's feeder system before finding a home at South Sydney in 2018. Nicholls became a reliable middle forward who made his tackles, hit the line hard, and did the tough carries that let star players shine. The premiership ring eluded him that night, but his journey from fringe player to grand finalist defines his resilience.

Mark was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
