Biography

Lucas Till played young Johnny Cash in the 2005 biopic 'Walk the Line' before he turned sixteen. He followed that with a role in 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' and then sought edgier material, appearing in the thriller 'The Spy Next Door' and the horror remake 'The Last House on the Left.' In 2011 he was cast as Alex Summers, aka Havok, in 'X-Men: First Class.' He reprised that role in multiple sequels, becoming a recurring presence in the superhero franchise. Till later headlined the CBS action series 'MacGyver,' playing the resourceful problem-solver for four seasons. His career moved from youthful supporting parts to leading his own projects, building durable work in genre television and film.

Millennials

1981–1996

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.

Lucas was born in 1990, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
