A New Zealand singer-songwriter who crafts intricate, layered rock anthems while forging his own path beyond his famous musical family.
Liam Finn, born in Melbourne in 1983, grew up immersed in the world of music as the son of Crowded House's Neil Finn. He relocated to New Zealand as a child, where he began honing his craft, initially as the frontman for the band Betchadupa. Stepping out on his own, Finn developed a reputation as a dynamic one-man orchestra, often building songs live with loop pedals to create dense, melodic soundscapes. His solo work, marked by emotional rawness and psychedelic pop textures, has earned him a dedicated following. In 2020, he formally joined the revived lineup of his father's legendary group, Crowded House, adding his guitar and vocal talents to the band's next chapter while continuing his own exploratory projects.

Liam was born in 1983, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
