A Swiss speed queen whose powerful, fluid skiing has conquered World Cup peaks across disciplines, collecting crystal globes with relentless efficiency.
Lara Gut-Behrami was a prodigy, winning World Championship silver as a teenager and carrying the weight of Swiss skiing's future on her shoulders. Her career, however, evolved into a story of sustained mastery, particularly in the speed events. With a commanding, aerodynamic style, she has dominated the Super-G circuit for years, her six season titles in the discipline a testament to her consistency and bravery. Patience defined her pursuit of the biggest prizes; an Olympic gold medal eluded her until the 2022 Beijing Games, where she triumphed in Super-G. That victory seemed to unlock a new level, as she added a World Championship giant slalom gold in 2023. Now in her thirties, Gut-Behrami is skiing with a liberated confidence, seamlessly blending the raw power of downhill with the technical precision needed for giant slalom, making her one of the most complete and formidable skiers on the tour.

Lara was born in 1991, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
