A dependable 7-foot center who carved out a 12-year NBA career with his size, rebounding, and professional approach.
Kosta Koufos, born to Greek immigrants in Ohio, was a basketball prodigy from the start, leading his high school to a state championship. His single season at Ohio State was solid, enough for the Utah Jazz to select him in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft. Koufos never became a star, but he embodied the value of a reliable role player. Over a dozen seasons with six different teams, including memorable stretches with the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings, he provided consistent interior defense, tough rebounding, and efficient finishing around the basket. Standing at seven feet tall, he used his frame and understanding of positioning to be an effective screen-setter and paint presence. His career is a testament to the longevity achievable through professionalism and mastering a specific, valuable skill set in the world's top basketball league.

Kosta was born in 1989, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
