As Euroboy, his blistering, rockabilly-infused guitar work became the turbocharged sonic signature of Norway's infamous 'deathpunk' band Turbonegro.
Knut Schreiner, better known by his stage alias Euroboy, is the flamboyant guitarist who helped inject high-octane rock and roll sleaze into Scandinavia's punk scene. Emerging from the garage rock revivalism of Kåre and the Cavemen, he found his true calling when he joined Turbonegro in the mid-1990s. With his pompadour and razor-sharp riffs, Euroboy didn't just play guitar; he weaponized 1950s rockabilly and 1970s glam, channeling it through a Marshall stack set to stun. His technical precision and melodic solos provided the crucial counterpoint to the band's crude punk energy, defining their 'deathpunk' sound on albums like 'Apocalypse Dudes.' Beyond Turbonegro, he has been a versatile linchpin in the Norwegian rock underground, leading the instrumental outfit Euroboys and contributing to a web of projects that keep the spirit of unvarnished guitar rock alive. He is less a sideman and more of a stylistic architect for a very particular, and very loud, strand of Scandinavian music.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Knut was born in 1974, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
