A Maryland state delegate who championed healthcare reform and data-driven policy before shifting to a key human services role.
Kirill Reznik built a reputation in Annapolis as a pragmatic, policy-focused legislator dedicated to improving Maryland's social safety net. First elected to the House of Delegates in 2006 representing Montgomery County's District 39, he approached governance with the analytical mind of a technocrat. Reznik's signature issue was healthcare; he served as Vice-Chair of the Health and Government Operations Committee and sponsored significant legislation aimed at expanding access and lowering costs, including bills to regulate pharmacy benefit managers. His work was characterized by a focus on the details of governance rather than political theater. After 16 years in the legislature, he made an unusual pivot in 2023, resigning his seat to accept an appointment as Maryland's Assistant Secretary for Inter-Departmental Data Integration. In this role, he applies his legislative experience to streamlining state services and using data to better assist vulnerable residents.

The latchkey kids. Raised during divorce, recession, and the end of the Cold War. Skeptical, self-reliant, media-literate. They invented indie culture, grunge, and the early internet — then watched the Boomers take credit.
Kirill was born in 1974, placing them squarely in the Generation X. The events that shaped this generation — economic uncertainty, the end of the Cold War, and the rise of personal computing — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
