Biography

Renée Good's life ended abruptly and violently on a Minneapolis street in January 2026, turning her into a symbol. A 37-year-old woman, she was in her car when she was fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during a confrontation. According to official reports, agents approached her vehicle, which was stopped sideways in the road. An agent reached through her open window, and as she moved her car, another agent fired three shots. Her death immediately sparked outrage and protests, with questions centered on why ICE agents were involved in a local traffic incident and whether the use of deadly force was justified. The case amplified existing tensions surrounding the scope and tactics of federal immigration authorities operating within American communities. Good's story became a tragic entry in the long ledger of individuals whose deaths prompt examinations of authority, protocol, and justice.

Millennials

1981–1996

The first digital natives. Grew up with the internet, came of age during 9/11 and the 2008 crash. Highly educated, deeply indebted, slower to marry and buy houses. Redefined work, identity, and what it means to be an adult.

Killing was born in 1988, placing them squarely in the Millennials. The events that shaped this generation — the internet revolution, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis — shaped the world they entered and the choices available to them.
