A French big man whose powerful dunks and infectious smile became a fan favorite during a journeyman NBA career.
Kevin Séraphin brought a specific and memorable energy to the basketball court. Discovered in French Guiana, he developed his game at the INSEP academy in Paris before turning professional with Cholet Basket. Drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bulls in 2010, he was immediately traded to the Washington Wizards, where he spent the most formative years of his career. Séraphin was a physical, left-handed post player known for a potent jump hook and a thunderous dunking ability. While his role fluctuated, his enthusiastic demeanor and moments of brute-force offense made him a popular figure with fans. After Washington, he embraced the life of an NBA journeyman, with stops in New York, Indiana, and Barcelona, before injuries led him to retire, leaving behind a legacy of effort and palpable joy for the game.
