Biography
Kenny Anthony's path to leadership was carved in academia before politics. With a doctorate in law, he lectured at the University of the West Indies, bringing a scholarly depth to his later governance. First elected prime minister in 1997, he led Saint Lucia for nine consecutive years, a period marked by significant investment in education and public sector modernization. After a five-year stint as opposition leader, he returned to power in 2011, tasked with steering the country through global economic turbulence.
